I imagine a breezy afternoon on a sleeper porch with a glass of lemonade (of course) and a good book. Maybe because that sounds like a fabulous afternoon and this is one of my favorite pieces. Measures 2 feet wide by 2 feet tall and sits
on a 2 inch wooden box. { $237 } SOLD

I saw one of these little guys on the gutters of our home town market (big bears) I knew I wanted to paint him right away. He inspired my bug series. Measures 1 foot by 1 foot and sits on 2 inch wooden box frame. { $137}

birch trees...
I recently started a series of birch trees. I have to admit every time I finish one I think of a place in my house to put it. If I didn't resist the erge to keep all of them my walls would be covered! More photos to come...

trailers...
I have been seeing trailers everywhere since I decided to start a series of older travel trailers. Not only are there a few directly across the street and next door to our house but a ton between our us and our parents three hours away (a trip we take quite often). My husband thinks its an odd subject of choice, I on the other hand think the vintage trailer theme is full of fun. So as I promised here are a few more of the trailer pieces.

I actually do not have that many pairs of shoes. I do however, think shoes can be art. I have seen some amazing shoes, I just can not manage to get away from my chacos and rain boots. Vintage shoes are what inspired this painting. I imagined this hanging in a dressing room with a lighted mirrored vanity and a feather collared silk robe. Measures 1 foot wide by 4 feet tall and sits on a 2 inch wooden box. { $267 }

the source...
Exciting news... I recently had the opportunity to be featured in The Source Weekly.
Art and style was the topic so not only did I get to wear some amazing
clothes I had the chance to talk a little about my art. Even though my
name was the one in the tittle my baby girl Elsie was the real scene
stealer in her own set of adorable digs. The article turned out great
(thank you Mike Bookey). Check it out here...

They
just don't make'em like this anymore. I just read that the newer
generation will not care much about classic or antique things. How sad
is that. I on the other hand love old things, including this old truck. I
hope this is not the last old automobile you see from me. Measures 2
feet by 2 feet and sits on a 2 inch wooden box. { $397 } SOLD

If
an elephant just isn't enough, add an egret! I just discovered this
great bird. They have an interesting choice of friends, among which are
alligators, hippos and yes, elephants. If you were a small bird in the
wild wouldn't you want an elephant on your side, I would. Measures 1
foot wide by 2 feet tall and sits on a 2 inch wooden box. { $267 }

My
Mother winced when she heard that I was painting an octopus, she said
something close to: they are so mean, can't you paint something that
makes people happy? Well, if this doesn't make you happy what can? Once
she saw Burt she fell in love, and quickly changed her mind about our
friends that octopus. Measures 4 feet wide by 2 feet tall and sits on a
2 inch wooden box. { $397 } SOLD

No
animals were harmed in the making of this painting. I grew up at a
summer camp in Corbett, if a camper received three or more letters in
the mail camp tradition required said camper to "kiss the moose" which
hung on the lodge wall. Naturally the moose's name was Melvin. Measures 4
feet wide by 4 feet tall and sits on a 2 inch wooden box. { $387 }

Sometimes
you just want to do something different, Faye is a representation of
that. I do think everything looks great with a black outline, maybe this
is to prove that it can still be pretty with out the harsh outlines. I
think this became one of my favorite pieces because it is undefined and
understated. The piece measures 2 feet wide by 4 feet tall and sits on a
2 inch wooden box. { $297 } SOLD

Someone (who will remain nameless) once told me that they used to catch lightning bugs and pull off the glowing rears to stick them around there wrists or neck to look like bracelets or necklaces. I on the other hand would prefer to let them live in a jar but to each there own. Measures 1 foot wide by 2 feet tall and sits on a 2 inch wooden box. {$197}
